How do you determine if a whole house or just certain rooms need to be staged?

We recommend focusing on the spaces that make the biggest impact—typically the main living areas and the primary bedroom. These rooms are where potential buyers spend the most time imagining their future.

When it comes to staging, we believe in the power of simplicity. We either fully stage a room to create that 'wow' factor or leave it empty to allow buyers to envision their own style. Partial staging can sometimes feel incomplete, and leaving behind old furniture might not showcase the home in its best light.

To make it easy for our clients to create the right staging package, we offer ‘à la carte’ pricing per room. This allows for flexibility, so they can customize their staging plan and only invest in what truly enhances the property.

Do you have a "go-to" paint color that sellers should consider painting all or some rooms prior to sale?

Our go-to shades are classic and timeless. Benjamin Moore White Dove OC-17 is a soft, clean white that works wonders in almost any room. For a creamier, warmer feel, Sherwin Williams Greek Villa SW 7511 is a fantastic choice—it adds warmth without overwhelming the space.

A fresh coat of paint can do wonders, brightening up a room and eliminating any distractions caused by dark, bold, or outdated colors. We always recommend at least touching up the paint before listing, even if it’s just in high-traffic areas. We understand that budget is always a factor, so we’re happy to work with any paint color, but a neutral, fresh coat is always our top vote when it comes to preparing a home for sale.

Do you follow current home design trends in your staging or do you stick with a fairly consistent aesthetic?

Trends certainly have their place, but we aim for an aesthetic that feels warm, welcoming, and versatile. We don’t want to go so trendy that it limits a buyer’s imagination or narrows the appeal. Instead, we focus on a transitional style that feels both current and classic, allowing buyers to envision themselves in the space no matter their personal style.

We want our staging to evoke that ‘CRUSH' factor—a feeling that makes potential buyers fall in love with the home, not just the decor. So, while we take cues from design trends, our ultimate goal is to create a space that feels inviting and adaptable that will attract a wide range of buyers.

For sellers who must live in the home while selling, is there one "Stager's Pro Tip" that you can share to help them prepare?

Our number one 'Stager’s Pro Tip' would definitely be decluttering. It might sound simple, but it’s incredibly effective. It’s all about creating a blank canvas for buyers to envision their own life in the home. Removing personal items, family photos, and any sentimental knick-knacks. It can be hard for sellers to let go of their personal connection to the home but it distracts buyers from seeing the true potential of the space. Less is more.
